It was a night to remember for Josh Allen.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback was named the Associated Press NFL Most Valuable Player for the 2024 season on Thursday night.
It was a well-deserved honor for Allen, who truly gave it his all this season. And what made this moment even better was he got to share it with someone very important to him.
Allen’s fiancé Hailee Steinfeld sat beside him and they shared a sweet moment after he was announced as the winner.
Just look at how proud she is.
And he took a moment to thank her in his acceptance speech.
“Mfy fiancé Hailee, you’ve been my rock, you’re my best friend,” he said.
It was the perfect way to end an incredible year for Allen. While his season ended sooner than he would have wanted, he had a lot of important things happen off the field.
Allen proposed to Steinfeld at the end of November.
And during an interview with the Associated Press in December, Allen gushed about how supportive Steinfeld is.
“She’s been a huge part. The morale, the support. When I get home, she’s my biggest fan, my biggest supporter. She’s just the best,” Allen said.
Even Allen’s teammate Dion Dawkins saw the effect she has.
“There’s something about it,” Dawkins explained. “When you’re in this world that we’re in, and a lot of people pulling at you and a lot of sources of ups and downs of a roller coaster, and you have that one stable person that you can rely on and go home and hug and get a laugh no matter what, I think that’s dope. And that’s what I think is going on.”
As for Steinfeld, she does not publicly comment about her relationship very often. But after the Bills fell to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship, she wanted to show her appreciation for the quarterback.
“To say the least, I am so proud of that man,” Steinfeld said in an interview with E! News. “Everything he’s done and everything that the team has done together, he is the hardest working person I know.”
And now, she got to be with him on a night that will go down in NFL history.
