Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills get biggest statement win of the season vs. Lions.ANHTRUC.

No one can criticize the Buffalo Bills this week because they just made the biggest statement win of the year against the Detroit Lions. Coming into this game, the Lions were the hottest team in the league, averaging 32 points per game and simply dominating opponents left and right. Then Josh Allen and the Bills came to town and the Lions found out the hard way how good the Bills are. Buffalo leaves Detroit with a 48-42 win and improves to 11-3 to stay alive for the No. 1 spot in the AFC for the playoffs. On the other hand, the Lions are handed their second loss of the year.

Right from the start, the Bills started to punch the Lions in the mouth taking an early 14-0 lead. While Detroit delivered hits here-and-there, they never took a lead against the Bills and were always playing from behind. At one point, they had the chance to tie this game but Buffalo took that opportunity away in the second half when James Cook rushed for a 41-yard touchdown run to extend the lead 28-14. Josh Allen finished with 4 total touchdowns and 431 total yards. His MVP season carries on through Week 15.

Buffalo Bills v Detroit Lions

The Buffalo offense was clicking and they put up 30+ points for the 8th consecutive game of the year. Not bad whatsoever for a unit that was heavily doubted coming into this season.

After last week’s disaster, Bobby Babich had a bounce back week for the defense, only giving up 14 points in the first half. Then the Lions offense came alive in the second half, but the Bills already had separated themselves at that point. They always led by atleast ten points and they never broke as a team. Not to mention, it’s no surprise to see the Lions light up the scoreboard like they did.

Even though Jared Goff threw for over 400 yards and had 4 touchdowns, the Bills’ defense was solid in pressuring him. Defensive tackle Ed Oliver, who has been a major disappointment this season, had his best game of the year with 10+ pressures on Goff. In addition, the Bills’ secondary, who had Taylor Rapp and Damar Hamlin out going into this game, made some fantastic stops against a tough Detroit receiving core.

This is the best win by any team this season. The Lions were rolling over opponents week after week after week. Now they get humbled by a hungry Bills team that experienced major heartbreak last week against the Los Angeles Rams.

Buffalo goes to 11-3 with three games remaining in the regular season where they will see the Patriots twice, and the Jets for their home finale in Week 17. Bills Mafia, enjoy this win.
