Josh Allen reveals NFL plans: How many more years does he want to play at the top?

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has cemented his status in the NFL by signing a six-year, $330 million contract extension, with $250 million guaranteed. The deal will keep him in Buffalo through 2030, when he turns 34.

In the 2024 season, Allen was named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), completing 63.6 percent of his passes, racking up 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns and just six interceptions. He also contributed 531 running yards and 12 touchdowns.
When asked about his decision not to ask for a higher salary to surpass Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott, Allen said he was happy with his current income and prioritized maintaining salary flexibility to build a competitive roster. He took inspiration from Tom Brady’s approach in New England, stressing that his main goal was to win a Super Bowl with the Buffalo Bills.

Under his current contract, Allen is expected to play for the Buffalo Bills until at least 2030, but his ability to continue his career beyond that will depend on a number of factors, including his physical condition, performance and personal desires. If he maintains his form and health, it is not impossible that Allen will extend his top-level career for a few more years after his current contract ends.

Off the field, Allen also got engaged to actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld on November 22, 2024. This event marked an important milestone in his personal life, adding more momentum to Allen’s career and life.

In short, with his new contract and commitment, Josh Allen is expected to continue playing at the top level for at least 6 more years, with the possibility of extending his career depending on various factors.
