Justin Jefferson highlights multiple Minnesota Vikings players honored by Pro Football Writers Association… HTX

The Minnesota Vikings were well represented on the Pro Football Writers Association’s All-Pro and All-NFC teams that were released on Tuesday afternoon.

Wide receiver Justin Jefferson was the lone representative on the All-Pro team, joining his former LSU teammate Ja’Marr Chase as the two wide receivers.

The All-NFC team had multiple Vikings on it.

  • WR Justin Jefferson
  • OLB Jonathan Greenard
  • OLB Andrew Van Ginkel
  • CB Byron Murphy Jr.

Justin Jefferson highlights Vikings players honored by PWFA

It shouldn’t come to anyone’s surprise that Jefferson was named an All-Pro by the PWFA. The Associated Press named Jefferson an All-Pro shortly after the regular season ended. Jefferson caught 103 passes for 1,533 yards and 10 touchdowns, marking his fifth-consecutive season where he passed 1,000 yards receiving.

The defensive side of the football was very well represented. Greenard and Van Ginkel were also named as starters for the Pro Bowl games. Greenard had 12.0 sacks and Van Ginkel nearly matched him with 11.5. They were a dominant force on the edge all season long, including two pick-sixes while nearly getting two others as well. Because of their success, Dallas Turner didn’t get to see the field much.

Murphy is the biggest winner from from this, as he came into the year as a solid starter but grew a ton during the season. He thrived on the outside, in the slot, and in both zone and man coverage.

In the 2024 season, Murphy had six interceptions and was huge in helping the Vikings take their scoring defense to fifth in the NFL. Now that he’s set to become a free agent, Murphy is going to put himself in a position to be one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in the NFL this offseason.

The Vikings could have an even better defense in 2025 if they can continue their growth and re-sign Murphy.
