Chiefs S Justin Reid reveals extra motivation for Super Bowl LIX: 'We gotta win'

Philadelphia defeated Kansas City, 40-22, capping off their season with an 18-3 record, including the postseason.

Following a 17-3 season for the Chiefs, assistant defensive line coach Terry Braden departed the organization, accepting a role as defensive line coach for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Following the news, Bradden took to social media, sharing his parting message after spending eight years on the Chiefs’ coaching staff.

“Grateful for 8 unforgettable years with the Chiefs,” Bradden said. “Thank you for the memories, the victories, and the family we’ve built. Looking forward to the next chapter in Lincoln with Nebraska football.”

After posting a message for fans, Chiefs star safety Justin Reid sent a kind note about Bradden.

“Energy is contagious,” Reid said.

Bradden also received a few messages from notable names around the NFL.

“Go be great Terry! Appreciate your friendship and enjoyed working with ya!” said former Chiefs quarterback Chad Henne.

“Much love my guy!!” said Chiefs quarterback Chris Oladokun.

“Was blessed to be in the room with you Coach T. Excited for this next chapter,” said New England Patriots defensive end Truman Jones.

“Let’s go coach T!” said Seattle Seahawks linebacker Frank Clark.

The former Chiefs staff member is filling the defensive line coach role that was once held by Terrance Knighton, who departed for the same position at Florida State.
