Kansas City Chiefs star WR Rashee Rice impressed at OTAs, marking a promising return from a serious injury last season.

During his press conference last week, Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy shared his thoughts on wide receiver Rashee Rice at OTAs.

“He’s (Rashee Rice) looked good. He’s come back strong; he’s been working hard to get to this point.” said Nagy, “It reminds me of last year where he was going into this part of the year where – the second year, he just looks like – even with Xavier (Worthy) right now, you can tell he knows where he’s going so those guys are looking sharp.”

Rice has been out of action since tearing his LCL early in the 2024 season. He had led the Chiefs and was amongst the league leaders in receiving last season before his Week 4 injury against the Los Angeles Chargers. Kansas City had multiple receivers trying to fill in for Rice’s absence throughout the year, including then-rookie standout Xavier Worthy, who should provide extra firepower to the offense with everyone healthy.

The former SMU standout has 103 receptions for 1,226 yards and nine touchdowns in 20 regular-season games. He holds the NFL record for most playoff receptions by a rookie with 26 in 2023.
