The return of Travis Kelce for a 13th season with the Kansas City Chiefs has him focused on returning to the Super Bowl and finishing the job. The ten-time Pro Bowler personally addressed Chiefs Kingdom about his return on the latest episode of New Heights.
“I love so many people in Kansas City, both in that facility and the community, and it’s home for me now,” said Kelce. “I don’t want to leave that life yet. I put in a lot of hard work and I put in a lot of focus into being the best that I can for K.C. Last year, it didn’t end well for us. I just feel like there’s a responsibility in me to play out the contract that I initially signed, to give Kansas City and the Chiefs organization everything that I’ve got, and that’s what I’m going to do, man.”
Kelce will return for his thirteenth NFL season, all with the Chiefs, as he calls Kansas City home. He made sure to send a special message to Chiefs Kingdom about the immediate future and the importance of the 2025 season.
“Kansas City, baby, we’re back at it for at least one more year; I can’t say whether or not this is going to be the last year because I still love a lot of what I do for the city of Kansas City and the Chiefs organization,” said Kelce. “I know I’ve got one on my contract, and I’m gonna give you everything I got, baby.”
Kelce enters the 2025 season third all-time behind Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten in tight end yards. He is only 2,977 yards behind Gonzalez for the most for a tight end in league history and 896 behind Witten for second place.
