Cowboys Shine with Three All-Pro Selections in 2024

The Dallas Cowboys celebrated a triumphant day as three of their players earned coveted spots on the Associated Press’ All-Pro teams for 2024. KaVontae Turpin headlined the group with a First-Team All-Pro nod, while Brandon Aubrey and CeeDee Lamb secured spots on the Second Team. This recognition highlights the stellar performances of the Cowboys’ stars and solidifies their contributions to the team’s success this season.

KaVontae Turpin’s Breakthrough Season

KaVontae Turpin achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first return specialist in Cowboys history to earn First-Team All-Pro honors. In his best season yet, Turpin dazzled fans and critics alike with electrifying performances, including his first career kickoff and punt return touchdowns. Leading the NFL with 904 kickoff return yards on 27 returns, Turpin proved to be a game-changing weapon.

Reflecting on his journey, Turpin said:
“I’m a little guy, 5’9, 150 pounds, competing on a big stage with the big guys. I just go out there and compete no matter the circumstances.”

Turpin’s remarkable achievements also earned him recognition from his peers, as he was named an NFLPA All-Pro kick returner earlier this week. With his second consecutive Pro Bowl selection, Turpin’s star continues to rise.

CeeDee Lamb: A Model of Consistency

CeeDee Lamb further cemented his legacy as one of the league’s elite wide receivers by earning his third consecutive All-Pro honor. Lamb’s 2024 campaign included 101 receptions for 1,194 yards and six touchdowns in just 15 games, despite battling a season-long shoulder injury.

“I’m putting myself out there for the benefit of the team,” Lamb shared. “I love to compete, but it’s bigger than me.”

Lamb also etched his name into the Cowboys’ record books, becoming the first receiver in franchise history to record four 1,000-yard receiving seasons within his first five years. He surpassed NFL legend Jerry Rice for the fourth-most yards from scrimmage in a player’s first five seasons, a testament to his consistency and dedication.

Brandon Aubrey: The Reliable Kicker

Brandon Aubrey’s dominance as the Cowboys’ kicker continued in 2024, earning him his second straight All-Pro selection. Breaking his own franchise record, Aubrey delivered 40 field goals this season, joining an exclusive group of kickers in NFL history to reach this milestone.

“I’ve got a great coaching staff that believes in me and sends me out there with no hesitation,” Aubrey said. “That confidence allows me to just cut it free and kick the ball.”

Aubrey’s season included 14 successful field goals from 50+ yards, and he remained perfect on extra-point attempts. His 65-yard field goal against the Ravens in Week 3 set a new career high, showcasing his ability to deliver in clutch moments.

A Season to Remember

The Cowboys’ trio of All-Pro honorees reflects the team’s remarkable talent and resilience in 2024. Turpin’s explosive returns, Lamb’s receiving prowess, and Aubrey’s precision kicking not only propelled Dallas to key victories but also solidified their places among the NFL’s best.

With such standout performances, the future looks bright for the Cowboys as they continue to build on their legacy of excellence.
