LASTEST UPDATE! Lakers Release Surprising Injury Report Ahead of Monday’s Massive Game vs. Rockets!!.TS.THUONG.

The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off a big win on Saturday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. With just eight games remaining before the NBA postseason, the Western Conference playoff race is heating up, with several teams bunched up within a couple of games of each other.

Two of those teams are the Lakers and the Houston Rockets, both fighting for the No. 2 seed. The Rockets currently hold a three-game lead over the Lakers and a 1 1/2-game lead over the Nuggets.

On Monday night, Houston and L.A. face off, and ahead of the matchup, the Lakers, who have battled a slew of injuries over the past month, released their latest injury report—and it’s quite surprising.

The only two names on the report are LeBron James, listed as probable, and Maxi Kleber, who remains out after joining the Lakers.

This marks the first time in several weeks that there hasn’t been a long list of injuries heading into a game. Luka Doncic has consistently been one of those names, along with Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Jarred Vanderbilt, who have all been on and off the injury report for various matchups. Now, with the postseason on the horizon, it seems nearly everyone is ready to go

The Lakers are currently 45-29 overall and hold the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference. However, they have just a slim lead over several teams behind them, stretching all the way down to the No. 8 spot, which would put them in the play-in tournament—a scenario head coach JJ Redick has made clear he wants to avoid.

““I want to make the playoffs; I don’t want to be in the Play-In [Tournament]. Until that is secured, the seeding thought won’t cross my mind,” Redick said.
