With a seven-game winning streak, the Buffalo Bills are moving forward with the second-best odds of winning the grand Vince Lombardi Trophy– spearheaded by the star quarterback Josh Allen. As he excels on the football field with explosive plays that average 29.6 points per game, he also solidified his odds at winning the NFL MVP as the frontrunner with -250.
Among the many showering high praise at the Pro Bowler quarterback for the 10-2 season record, former NFL star LeSean McCoy went a step forward with his praise. He claimed that he would choose Allen over the elite quarterbacks in NFL history: Eli Manning and Drew Brees, but on one condition.
Ranked second in the league with 74.5 QBR, Allen is undeniably among the top quarterbacks of the NFL. However, one crucial accolade remains absent from his impressive resume– a Super Bowl ring. McCoy emphasized this point, underscoring that winning a championship is vital for Allen to be considered among the elite players in his position.

In the last 12 games, Allen has recorded 2,691 yards, 20 touchdown passes, and 74.5 QBR along with 334 rushing yards. While the Eagles’ Saquon Barkley is close to beating Allen in the MVP race, Allen is the only player with a negative -250 odds, becoming a favorite to win the prominent honor.
McCoy’s sentiments were well echoed by his colleague Emmanuel Acho, who emphasized further the urgency for the Bills’ signal-caller to win the MVP honor this season. He argued that Allen needed this to establish his prominence and name in the industry.
Individually Allen’s overall stats are not exceptional, his performance in the Week 13 game against the San Francisco 49ers made him the AFC Offensive Player of the Week on Sunday. He finished the game by completing 13-of-17 passes for 148 yards with two touchdowns and an additional 18 rushing yards and a touchdown.
