Lions fan says StubHub broke contract with Super Bowl seats, out $16K.THANHDUNG

Super Bowl Sunday is just a few days away and, while fans in Kansas City and Philadelphia are getting pumped for the game, and others are hoping their squares pay off, a Lions fan is stuck holding two Super Bowl tickets that he can’t do anything with.

StubHub Files for Public Markets Debut Via Direct Listing - Bloomberg

Over 83,000 fans will be inside Caesars Superdome to cheer on the NFL’s final game of the season. Detroit Lion fan Brad Clor had hoped he would be one of them, that’s why he spent over $16,000 on two tickets in early January on StubHub.

Unfortunately for him and the Lions fans, it wasn’t meant to be as they lost to the Washington Commanders a few weeks ago.

Pure Michigan Spoof Calls Out New Detroit Lions Bandwagon Fans

“I got the initial confirmation email and said ‘man, this doesn’t seem right’. A few days later I got a phone call from StubHub that says you’re not in 601. Your seats may be in section 601 to 608 or 610 to 613 or in the terrace endzone and your seats may not be together. I don’t want to go to the game with my brother and get separate sections,” Clor said.

What could have been a once-in-a-life trip with his brother is now coming down to the wire as he’s holding the bill on those two tickets.

What they’re saying:

He says Stubhub is in breach of contract and claims StubHub admitted it too.

When he asked for a refund, StubHub told him they’d review the matter and resolve it but that was more than three weeks ago.

The game is nearly here and Clor is holding the tickets while being out $16,000.

“It’s crushing, man, because this is a lot of money,” Clor said.

He said he wasn’t aware that there were problems with StubHub when he bought the seats and says he’d never use StubHub again.

“I was unaware there were so many issues with StubHub. Look at how many class action lawsuits and issues there are against StubHub. One of the main class action lawsuits against StubHub was that they were selling tickets that they didn’t have the legal rights to. I’m afraid that’s what happened in my case,” Clor said. “No. It’s not worth the headaches.”

In an email, StubHub says they’re looking into the situation.

Clor has also reached out to PayPal to help mediate the situation.
