Massive new report ends Aaron Rodgers nightmare for Vikings fans..ANHTRUC.

Aaron Rodgers 'excited' to help Packers rookie QB Jordan Love

Minnesota Vikings fans woke up from another nightmare about Aaron Rodgers on Wednesday to find out that the circus appears to be over.

According to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero on Wednesday, the Vikings are moving forward with J.J. McCarthy as their No. 1 quarterback and they are not pursuing Rodgers.

In addition, Pelissero also revealed that Minnesota is still interested in adding another veteran quarterback and they have rejected multiple calls from teams interested in trading for McCarthy,

J.J. McCarthy was always the right answer for the Minnesota Vikings and not Aaron Rodgers

Based on the moves the Vikings have been making since the start of free agency and some of their other comments this offseason, Minnesota’s rumored interest in Rodgers always seemed silly.

Have the Vikings considered adding the former Green Bay Packers quarterback at all this offseason? It’s definitely possible. But did Minnesota spend a significant amount of time considering an addition of Rodgers? That doesn’t seem likely based on what Pelissero shared on Wednesday and what ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday.

But now, Vikings fans should be able to stop freaking out about there being any possibility of their favorite team signing Rodgers. Minnesota is now heading full-speed into the future with McCarthy leading the way as the team’s new starting quarterback.

McCarthy taking over as the Vikings’ No. 1 signal-caller this year is what has always made the most sense following the team’s disappointing playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams in January.

Minnesota has already been able to take advantage of his cheap rookie contract with all the new additions they’ve made in free agency, and that is something they hope to continue for the next couple of years if everything goes well with McCarthy as the team’s top quarterback.

Who knows what lies ahead in the future, but for now, it seems safe for Vikings fans to stop worrying about Rodgers ever suiting up in a purple and gold jersey.
