Steelers sideline reporter Craig Wolfley highlighted one key matchup ahead of the Steelers-Browns rematch in Week 14 — Myles Garrett versus Dan Moore Jr.
“Last time out, Garrett had a good night,” Wolfley admitted. “Bully for him. But that is not the norm. [Moore] has more than stood the test of time in his battles with Garrett and all the other AFC North marauders.”
The Steelers’ left tackle is coming off one of his best performances of the season against the Bengals, a rebound after Garrett embarrassed him the week before.
“It certainly doesn’t always go your way,” Wolfley continued later. “An offensive lineman is always on the hot seat. Whether it’s run blocking or pass protection, you will win some and, especially with players like Garrett, they will win some. The idea is to win more than they do. And Dan Moore has done a LOT of winning this year.”
The sideline reporter concluded that “it will be an epic battle, a battle of ‘meat-eaters.’ And for the Steelers to be successful against the Browns, neutralizing Garrett is a huge part of getting the ‘W.’”
Well put. Moore will be integral for Pittsburgh on Sunday, as will Pickens. With a victory, the Steelers will move to 10-3 on the season, furthering a potential AFC North title in 2024.
