NASCAR BOMBSHELL: 23XI Racing star driver Bubba Wallace takes a sly dig at Joey Logano over Talladega radio meltdown-Panettone Stallone

Bubba Wallace Takes a Sly Dig at Joey Logano Over Talladega Radio Meltdown

The NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega last Sunday stood out for its unusually clean racing, especially notable in the Next-Gen era, as it lacked the typical multi-car wrecks that have come to define the track. However, while the on-track action was relatively tame, drama erupted over the team radios-most notably involving reigning Cup champion Joey Logano.

Joey Logano’s Profanity-Laced Radio Rant

As the second stage of the race neared its conclusion, Joey Logano found himself locked in a tight battle with Bubba Wallace for crucial playoff points. Logano was counting on his Team Penske teammate, Austin Cindric, to provide a push from behind in the draft. Instead, Cindric’s No. 2 Ford was forced to check up, abruptly killing Logano’s momentum. This allowed Wallace to surge ahead and claim the stage win, prompting Logano to unleash a profanity-filled tirade over the radio.

Bubba Wallace’s Cheeky Social Media Response

After the race, Austin Cindric went on to win the event and celebrated with his team, sharing a photo on social media platform X. Sensing an opportunity, Bubba Wallace took a playful jab at Logano while congratulating Cindric. Wallace posted:

“Big AC fan in stage 2… don’t listen to the naysayers, you were perfect!😂”

Wallace is known for his lighthearted social media antics, often targeting his best friend and Logano’s teammate, Ryan Blaney. This time, however, it was Logano who found himself at the center of Wallace’s playful ribbing.

Wallace’s Mixed Talladega Weekend

Despite the drama, Bubba Wallace had a solid, if unspectacular, weekend. He finished eighth, secured a stage win, but was unable to challenge for the victory in the closing laps due to the absence of major incidents that often shuffle the field at Talladega. Still, the result kept the No. 23 Toyota team inside the top 10 in points, putting Wallace in a strong position for the playoffs as the series heads to Texas Motor Speedway.

Wallace’s clever social media dig added a layer of off-track entertainment to a race that, while clean on the track, delivered plenty of fireworks over the airwaves and online.
