NFL BOMBSHELL: Packers Fans React To Major News On Star CB Jaire Alexander -wiwiwi

The Jaire Alexander saga was the central storyline of the Green Bay Packers offseason. Internally, the Packers expressed frustration over his inability to stay on the field, and reports indicated they were actively exploring trade options. At the annual owners meeting, General Manager Brian Gutekunst said the team was “working through that” regarding Alexander’s future, even suggesting there was a possibility the star cornerback could remain with the team in 2025.

On Monday, the saga between Alexander and the Packers officially came to an end.

After seven seasons, the Packers will reportedly release the two-time All-Pro and Pro Bowler, freeing up $16.09 million in cap space for 2025. It was a tough but necessary business decision by Green Bay. A healthy Jaire Alexander is one of the premier cornerbacks in the league, but he has missed 34 of the last 68 games and would have the third-largest cap hit on the team in 2025.

The report quickly spread across social media, sparking immediate reactions from Packers fans and the media alike.

“The Packers are better with a healthy Jaire Alexander,” CheeseheadTV wrote. “But a $17.5 million bet on a healthy season from a guy who has only played 34 games since 2020 was never going to work.”

“The Packers had a top-10 defense without him last year,” they added. “They’ve since upgraded that same unit with the Stokes-for-Hobbs swap, and now they have the money and roster flexibility to do even more if needed.”

The Packers Brazil fan account on X also took time to share its thoughts on Alexander’s release.

“Jaire Alexander was one of the most iconic players of recent years — charismatic, cocky, feisty, skilled, talented, and also a game-changer,” they wrote.
