NFL commissioner responds to petition from 31 NFL teams asking for investigation into Chiefs games, as referees allegedly paid to favor Kansas City. ts.dhung.

In a stunning turn of events, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has responded to a growing controversy involving alleged referee bias in games involving the Kansas City Chiefs. The issue arose after a petition was submitted by all 31 NFL teams—excluding the Chiefs—demanding a formal investigation into claims that referees had been paid to favor Kansas City during several recent games.

The petition, which was delivered to the NFL front office earlier this week, alleges that certain officials may have been involved in an undisclosed financial arrangement, resulting in decisions that disproportionately benefited the Chiefs. The petition cites a number of questionable calls made during high-stakes games, including key penalties and non-calls that shifted momentum in Kansas City’s favor.

Goodell’s Response

Commissioner Roger Goodell addressed the petition on Friday, emphasizing that the NFL takes such allegations very seriously but assured fans and teams alike that the league’s officiating system remains one of the most transparent and fair in professional sports.

Commissioner Roger Goodell Says NFL Believes 'Everyone Should Stand' for National Anthem

“We guarantee that the games are officiated fairly, and there is no basis to these claims,” Goodell said in a statement. “The integrity of the NFL and its officiating is of utmost importance, and we are confident that our officials are held to the highest standards. The NFL will conduct a review of the claims, but we are confident that there is no evidence of bias or external influence in any game.”

Goodell’s statement also referred to the NFL’s stringent oversight of officials, which includes regular evaluations, mandatory training, and oversight by the league’s officiating department. The commissioner expressed confidence in the system and its ability to uphold fairness across all games, including those involving the Chiefs.

The Kansas City Chiefs did it again.

Kansas City topped Los Angeles, 19-17, at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday night. The Chiefs won with a game-winning field goal that doinked off the left upright and still made it across, from a kick from Matthew Wright. A week after beating the Raiders in incredibly lucky fashion, Andy Reid’s team did it again.

It doesn’t get any luckier than this.

The Chiefs improved to 12-1 on the season with the win, despite playing in close game after close game.

NFL fans are fed up.

“Chiefs are so rigged that it’s hard to watch …. It’s mathematically impossible to have as much “luck” as they get,” one fan wrote.

“Yeahhhh….. it’s painfully obvious the NFL is rigged, they want the Chiefs to three-peat and they want the Taylor Swift fans to stay to keep making all that $$,” one fan added.

“I’m officially done with football. The chiefs are the most fraudulent 12-1 team I’ve ever seen in my life,” one fan added.

“Try as you might, nobody can convince me that the NFL is not rigged in some ways. No way in hell can a team win on the last play of the game so many times as the KC Chiefs have. NO F’N Way. Its basically every week!” one fan added.

“Every week it’s same chiefs ending. It’s not a coincidence. It’s rigged. Goodell deemed a while ago that this 3 peat would happen and Taylor swift being on board put it in turbo mode. The whole season is a sham,” one fan added.

Chiefs win rigged.

Rigged or not, the Chiefs continue winning. Their 12-1 record is no joke.
