NFL fans sh0cked by news Cleveland Browns offered Dallas Cowboys a ‘record’ number for Dak Prescott-bb

The Dallas Cowboys‘ offseason has been full of lackluster moves, while other NFC East teams continue to strengthen and find direction. ‘America’s Team’ has struggled to establish a clear plan that would inspire confidence in their fan base heading into the new season. However, one interesting development has emerged from Dallas that could take an unexpected turn.

A rumor from Cleveland journalist Bruce Drennen claims that he’s heard from multiple sources within the Browns organization that they’re in negotiations to trade for Dak Prescott. He says the deal would include draft picks and former first-round pick Greg Newsome II.

“Part of the reason Myles Garrett was so willing to sign this extension for his contract—yeah, money, money, money… The Browns are negotiating as we speak with the Dallas Cowboys for a trade for Dak Prescott,” Drennen said on his show Bonus Time with Bruce Drennen.

Dak Prescott, Browns trade rumors labeled 'fake news' by Cowbys insiders | Yardbarker

The Cleveland Browns recently signed their superstar defensive end Myles Garrett to a four-year, $160 million contract extension, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league. A persuasive bargaining chip for Garrett is the prospect of having a reliable All-Pro quarterback to help this team compete.

Dak Prescott is currently dealing with a hamstring injury that will sideline him for the start of training camp. But with quarterback Deshaun Watson expected to miss most of the 2025–2026 NFL season with a lower leg injury, the Browns may be forced to act.

This would be a strong addition for the Browns and a unique situation for Dallas. Until you no longer have a reliable quarterback, you don’t truly understand how essential they are—and how hard they are to find. But maybe Jerry Jones loves Shedeur Sanders enough. He loves money, and he loves a good story. With a little less than a month until the NFL Draft, a lot of questions will start getting answered.
