Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers, led by Jordan Love, aim to mirror that success in the 2025 NFL season. However, skepticism surrounds their potential. Former offensive lineman Damien Woody, for example, doubts the Packers pose a real challenge to the Eagles next season.

He suggests that Love might be the limiting factor for Green Bay. “I’m not sure if the Packers are completely convinced about Jordan Love, given their heavy reliance on the running game last year. Even with Myles Garrett, I don’t see them as contenders against the Eagles in the NFC,” Woody expressed on ESPN’s “Get Up.” Woody, with two Super Bowl rings from his tenure with the New England Patriots, understands what it takes to claim championships. He believes the Packers need to place more faith in Love to replicate the success of Hurts and the Eagles in 2024.

Some may contest the idea that the Packers lack confidence in Love. It’s worth noting that the team invested a first-round draft pick in the Utah State alum while Aaron Rodgers was still the quarterback, eventually transitioning to him after Rodgers’ departure. Love rewarded this faith by delivering an outstanding debut season as the starting quarterback, and the Packers further demonstrated their commitment by granting him a four-year, $220 million contract extension in 2024.

However, Love and the Packers were unable to defeat Hurts’ Eagles in 2024. Love struggled to maintain his 2023 performance level, and although the Packers reached the playoffs, their journey was short. They fell to the eventual champions in the Wild Card round. This marked the second defeat to the Eagles that season, with Philadelphia securing a 34-29 triumph in the Week 1 game held in Brazil and a 22-10 victory in January. The upcoming season will reveal whether the Packers can match the Eagles’ prowess. Yet, achieving that won’t be straightforward, as every NFC team will be eager to dethrone Hurts and his squad in 2025.
