Nick Kyrgios claims Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner don’t have ‘aura’ of Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer because ‘they’re just kids’

Although Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are mesmerizing the tennis world with their performances, they don’t yet have the ‘aura’ of Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, according to Nick Kyrgios. The Aussie is confident that he would gain an advantage by using psychological tactics against the two youngsters.

Kyrgios has never met Alcaraz but lost to Sinner when they met in the fourth round of the 2022 Miami Open, and is 1-2 against Djokovic. Against the Swiss maestro, however, Kyrgios could eke out a win just once, in their first encounter at the 2015 Madrid Open. In the rest of the six matches, the 20-time Major champion prevailed.

Krygios is being called a Bad Boy of tennis thanks to controversial on and off-court antics. But he thinks players having different personalities is healthy in sport.

Kyrgios, though has not played for almost two years, is making headlines on a frequent basis because of his remarks on his colleagues. He has been censuring Sinner for failing a dope test and escaping a ban.

Nick Kyrgios discussed the tennis schedule on the Nothing Major podcast, referencing Daniil Medvedev‘s complaints to explain why he thinks the schedule needs to be changed. The Russian has been censuring the schedule for a long time and Kyrgios thinks that if a player like Medvedev calls for a change, then something’s wrong with the calendar.

Krygios is set to make his return to tennis at the Brisbane International where he will also be playing doubles with Novak Djokovic. The ATP 250 event will be the Aussie’s first event since the 2023 Stuttgart Open.
