Dom DiSandro is a very important member of the Philadelphia Eagles team.
Known to all as Big Dom, he serves as the senior advisor to the general manager, chief security officer, and gameday coaching operations.
And Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni took a moment to show his appreciation for all that DiSandro does on Monday night.
“He truly just wants to help other people, and that’s just an unbelievable quality to have that makes him special,” Sirianni told reporters on Super Bowl LIX opening night.
“And you can hear it from all our players, of what they think about about Dom, that we all love them because he just is trying to help each and every I mean, he’s the definition of team and and helping each other. And, man, I couldn’t do my job without Dom, that’s for sure.”
During the 2023-24 season DiSandro became very well-known due to an altercation he was involved in.
In Week 13, he and San Franscico 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw were both ejected from the game. The NFL further punished DiSandro, banning him from the sidelines for the rest of the regular season, while also fining him $100,000.
When this happened, many members of the Eagles organization came to his defense, including Sirianni. But that wasn’t all.
Lane Johnson even showed up to WrestleMania 40 in a shirt with DiSandro’s face, along with the words “Big Dom” on it.
And then, Cooper DeJean revealed back in May that when he attended a Philadelphia 76ers game with DiSandro, fans kept stopping him to take pictures.
What made this moment better was DeJean along with Quinyon Mitchell were the ones tasked with taking the photos.
But, what he does behind the scenes is the reason why the team loves him so much. And Sirianni takes any moment he can to praise DiSandro.
