Novak Djokovic has addressed the conspiracy theories about his injury at the Australian Open. He posted a message on social media aimed at John McEnroe and others questioning the legitimacy of his injury.

The Serbian star had to withdraw from his semifinal against Alexander Zverev due to a torn leg muscle. Concerns about his condition first arose during his quarterfinal match against Carlos Alcaraz, where he took a medical timeout. However, McEnroe commented during the match, suggesting the reigning Olympic champion might be exaggerating and said, “Don’t be fooled.

Djokovic responded by sharing an MRI scan image on X (formerly Twitter) to prove the seriousness of his injury. This was seen as his way of silencing critics and defending himself.

When asked about McEnroe’s comments after his withdrawal, Djokovic appeared to take a subtle jab at the former player. His response showed he was not happy with the doubts surrounding his condition.

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from Serbia’s upcoming Davis Cup tie due to an injury he suffered during the Australian Open. The 24-time Grand Slam champion sustained a muscle tear in his leg during his quarterfinal match against Carlos Alcaraz in Melbourne.

Despite the injury, Djokovic managed to defeat Alcaraz in four sets. However, he could not continue after losing a tough first set in his semifinal match against Alexander Zverev. The injury forced him to end his Australian Open campaign early.

The 37-year-old confirmed he will miss Serbia’s Davis Cup first-round qualifier against Denmark, scheduled for January 31 and February 1 in Copenhagen. He also stated he is unsure about participating in the ATP 500 event in Doha, which begins on February 17.

Djokovic’s withdrawal is a significant loss for Serbia. Representing his country and competing for Grand Slam titles remain his top priorities at this stage of his career.
