Green Bay, Wisconsin — In a proud and emotional moment for Green Bay Packers fans everywhere, Mason Crosby, the franchise’s all-time leading scorer and beloved former kicker, has officially been inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame. With this induction, Crosby also becomes the youngest player in team history to receive the honor — a testament to both his longevity and his profound impact on the organization.
The announcement was made during a special ceremony at Lambeau Field, where former teammates, coaches, and fans gathered to celebrate the player whose right leg became one of the most reliable weapons in Packers history.
“Mason Crosby is more than just a kicker. He’s a legend, a leader, and a champion,” said Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy. “What he brought to this franchise for nearly two decades is immeasurable.”
Crosby played 16 seasons with the Packers, from 2007 to 2022, and holds several franchise records, including most points scored, most field goals made, and most consecutive games played. Known for his calm under pressure and ability to deliver in clutch moments, Crosby became a fan favorite for both his consistency and humility.
One of his most memorable moments came in the 2016 NFC Divisional Round against the Dallas Cowboys, when he hit two field goals from over 50 yards in the final minutes — including the game-winner — to help send the Packers to the NFC Championship Game.
His induction speech was filled with emotion as Crosby thanked his family, teammates, coaching staff, and the Green Bay community:
“This place — this field, these fans — they shaped me into the man I am today. I came here as a kid with a dream, and I leave with a legacy I never could’ve imagined.”
In addition to his on-field accomplishments, Crosby was known for his leadership in the locker room and his community work off the field. He regularly supported veterans’ causes, children’s hospitals, and local schools throughout Wisconsin.
Fans on social media expressed joy and admiration, with hashtags like #CrosbyForever and #PackersLegend trending throughout the day.
While Mason Crosby’s boots may be officially retired, his legacy in Green Bay will echo for generations. His name now takes its rightful place among the greats of Packers history — a reminder that kickers, too, can be heroes.
A Packers legend. A Hall of Famer. Mason Crosby.
