Keisean Nixon is on a Mission to Recruit Maxx Crosby to the Packers
Nixon Wastes No Time Recruiting Early in the Offseason
As the NFL offseason gets underway, Green Bay Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon is making his presence felt—not just on the field but in the recruiting game. Nixon has been vocal about his desire to bring top talent to Green Bay ahead of the 2025 NFL season, and his latest target is none other than Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby.
With the Packers looking to bolster their roster and make a serious push in the NFC, Nixon took to social media to pitch the idea of Crosby trading the Silver and Black for Green and Gold.
The Social Media Pitch to Crosby
Nixon made waves on X, formerly Twitter, by quote-tweeting a post from Packers reporter Eli Berkovits. The original post referenced a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, which suggested that Crosby might have interest in joining the Packers due to his familiarity with certain individuals within the organization.
Seeing the opportunity, Nixon wasted no time in making his pitch to Crosby.
“Come Be Great Wit A Real Team My Boi…” Nixon wrote, tagging Crosby directly in his post.
The message was a bold move—not only recruiting one of the league’s top pass rushers but also taking a subtle jab at the Raiders, a team that has struggled to remain competitive in recent years.
Could Crosby Actually Leave Las Vegas?
Maxx Crosby remains under contract with the Raiders through the 2026 season, carrying a significant cap hit of $27.9 million in 2025 and $24.8 million in 2026. However, with the Raiders in a rebuild and seemingly far from contending for a Super Bowl, Crosby could be looking for an opportunity to win now.
At 27 years old, Crosby is in the prime of his career and has established himself as one of the most dominant edge rushers in the league. If he wants a shot at competing for a championship, requesting a trade to a playoff-ready team like Green Bay could make sense.
Why the Packers Could Be a Perfect Fit
The Packers have built a strong young core, with quarterback Jordan Love proving he can lead the team deep into the postseason. Adding a player of Crosby’s caliber would instantly upgrade Green Bay’s defensive front and give them a game-changing presence on the edge.
Pairing Crosby with Rashan Gary would create one of the most fearsome pass-rushing duos in the NFC. The Packers’ defense showed flashes of dominance last season, and with the right additions, they could take the next step toward becoming a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
Nixon’s Recruiting Efforts Go Beyond Crosby
Nixon’s recruitment spree hasn’t stopped with Maxx Crosby. He also sent a message to former Packers, Jets, and Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams, encouraging him to return to Green Bay.
“Yo [Davante Adams] pull bac Up,” Nixon posted on X.
Adams, who left Green Bay to reunite with quarterback Derek Carr in Las Vegas, now finds himself in a situation where the Raiders lack stability at the quarterback position. A return to Green Bay, where he once dominated alongside Aaron Rodgers, could be an intriguing possibility if Adams were to seek a trade.
A Dream Offseason for the Packers?
If Nixon’s recruiting efforts somehow lead to the Packers acquiring both Crosby and Adams, it would be a massive success for Green Bay. The team already has a strong foundation, but adding two elite players in their prime would instantly elevate them into true NFC powerhouse status.
While Nixon’s social media efforts alone won’t dictate where these stars land, his confidence in Green Bay as a desirable destination speaks volumes. Whether or not the Packers can make these moves happen remains to be seen, but one thing is clear—Nixon is determined to bring top-tier talent to Lambeau Field this offseason.
