Travis Kelce has all but made it official.
According to Pat McAfee, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end texted him and said that he is not retiring and will be returning for the 2025 season.
“I reached out to source(s) on the future of @tkelce.. Source(s0 say I’M COMING BACK FOR SURE,” McAfee wrote.
And according to him, Kelce made a promise for what’s in store for next season.
“I’m gonna get in the best shape of my life this offseason.. I’ve got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and I can’t go out like that!!!!”
All signs were pointing to Kelce returning after Chiefs general manager Brett Veach said that he was under the impression the tight end was returning.
“How we left at the end of the season is that he was fired up. He has one more year under contract,” Veach said at the 2025 scouting combine on Tuesday. “Still think he has that fire and desire to play.”
“As far as I’m concerned, there is no deadline,” he continued. “We left it as he’d be back, and we’re excited to get him back. And get him going.
“Hopefully he has a magical season to end his magical career.”
So, get ready Chiefs Kingdom!
Kelce will be back for another year!
