Peter Schrager has bold take on Josh Allen vs. Lamar Jackson divisional round matchup..anhtruc.

No other game this weekend will receive bigger news coverage than the Buffalo Bills vs. Baltimore Ravens. It’s Josh Allen vs. Lamar Jackson, members of the 2018 NFL Draft class (the only two big-time successful quarterbacks from that year), and the leading candidates for the MVP award.

It’s a primetime matchup between the Bills and Ravens on Sunday Night Football. Winner advances to the conference title game, and the loser heads home early. Both the Bills and Ravens were knocked out of the playoffs last year against the Chiefs, and if the Chiefs can beat the Texans on Saturday, both Buffalo and Baltimore would love to get some revenge.

Washington Commanders v Philadelphia Eagles

Throughout this week, there are going to be constant back and forth debates about how this matchup will turn out. Some will say that it will be a repeat of Week 4, some will say that Allen and the Bills will change the narrative and send the Ravens home again like they did in the 2020-2021 playoffs. One well-known NFL writer has his own narrative.

Peter Schrager makes the biggest bold claim heading into Bills vs. Ravens

In recent years, we have seen notable quarterbacks make far into the playoffs. Players like Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, C.J. Stroud, Jalen Hurts, Jared Goff, and so many more make the playoffs thrilling because of what they have done in the postseason. However, this Bills vs. Ravens matchup is different according to Peter Schrager.

Schrager, who is a host on Good Morning Football, explained how this upcoming game is the “best divisional round QB matchup of all-time.”

“All season we’ve pitted Lamar Jackson versus Josh Allen. It’s been divisive and territorial and spirited. This week, I’m celebrating them both. I’m going to just appreciate what I think is the best Divisional Round QB matchup of all-time. It’s Josh and Lamar Week. Not Josh… pic.twitter.com/PnuaKlXaYX

This comparison of Jackson and Allen has become out of hand. There’s no doubt that one of them deserves the award, but we’ve almost never had a tight race like this year. No matter who wins it, it’s going to make fans mad and upset.

Schrager makes a fantastic point. Let’s just enjoy the greatness that we are seeing from two quarterbacks who no one expected to succeed as much as they have. The fact that we get a perfect divisional round game with two of the top quarterbacks is more than perfect.

Sunday night is going to be electric and the Bills have the home-field advantage. They have yet to lose at home this year and they get the chance to correct their mistakes from Week 4.
