Smith is one of two players to receive the franchise tag in the NFL this offseason. The one-year short-term agreement is for $23.4 million and is fully guaranteed for 2025. The two-time Super Bowl champion was drafted in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft and has emerged as one of the best offensive linemen in the league.

Both sides must agree to a long-term contract by July 15th, or he will play next season on the franchise tag.
