The San Francisco 49ers have had horrible luck all season.

San Francisco entered the season expecting to be one of the best teams in the NFC once again and compete to make another trip to the Super Bowl and maybe even get over the hump this year. That hasn’t been the case at all this year, though.

The 49ers have dealt with a plethora of high-impact injuries and haven’t been fully healthy for a single game this season. This clearly has impacted the team’s performance and San Francisco currently is in last place in the NFC West with a 6-8 record.

The 49ers have three games left and need to win all three and for a lot to go in their direction to even have a minuscule chance of making the playoffs. The most likely option is that the 49ers could end up finishing below .500 in a shocking move.

San Francisco continues to rack up injuries and unfortunately may be without the services of star left tackle Trent Williams for the rest of the season, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan as shared by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

“49ers coach Kyle Shanahan tells reporters that LT Trent Williams may not play again this season,” Rapoport said.

“I mean if he gets back to healthy we’d play him. But it’s not like that right now. So it’s getting closer to being that way,” Shanahan said.

This is just another blow to a 49ers team that has gotten used to bad news this season. If this is the last we have seen of Williams this season, at least he is under contract for 2025 after landing a three-year, $82 million deal.
