REPORT: Baltimore Ravens predicted to trade for former All-Pro Offensive Player of the Year from NFC.TS.THANHDUNG

The Baltimore Ravens had the No. 1 offense in the NFL in 2024 — and while they still have to find a way to get over the playoff struggles and reach a Super Bowl with Lamar Jackson at QB — there’s no reason to believe they won’t be in the thick of the AFC playoff race again in 2025.

Ravens OC Todd Monken — who just signed a contract extension last week to stay with the organization next season and beyond — sculpted the offense around Jackson and brushing RB Derrick Henry. Defenses had to account for both Jackson and Henry as rushers at any moment, while still not giving up big passing plays.

The unit was almost impossible to stop. The 2024 Baltimore Ravens set a new franchise record with 7,2224 total offensive yards. They became the first team in NFL history to surpass 4,000 passing yards and 3,000 rushing yards in a single season.

Baltimore averaged 30.5 points per game, which ranked third in the NFL. The Ravens finished the year with 65 total touchdowns, 41 coming through the air and 21 on the ground.

Jackson — who was part of an intense debate vs. Josh Allen for NFL Offensive MVP posted a ridiculous stat line of 4,172 passing yards, 41 touchdowns and just four interceptions with a passer rating of 119.6. He added over 800 yards and four touchdowns as a runner.

Henry proved to be one of the most underrated acquisitions in the 2024 offseason. The former Titans bruising RB thrived in his first season playing for the Baltimore Ravens, finishing the year with 1,921 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns.

While the Ravens had the No.1 overall offense and No. 1 rushing offense, their passing offense ranked No. 7 in 2024. Baltimore averaged 237.4 passing yards per game in the regular season, and that number fell to 202.5 in the postseason.

Still, WR Zay Flowers put together a Pro Bowl season finishing the year with 1,059 receiving yards.

As the Ravens enter the offseason ahead of 2025, there’s plenty of reason to believe John Harbaugh and GM Eric DeCosta will look to add another reliable pass-catcher for Jackson, who relies heavily on Flowers and his two tight ends. Rashod Bateman stepped up at times, but Baltimore could use a veteran wideout who can get open and pick up yards after the catch. ‘

NFL.com analyst Mark Ross believes the Baltimore Ravens will attempt to trade for Rams WR Cooper Kupp, who was named NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2021, and is on the trade block according to a statement from his team last week.

Here’s what Ross said about the Ravens trading for Kupp:

The Baltimore Ravens have a history of bringing in big-name stars who are on the back end of their careers (SEE: Steve Smith Sr. and DeSean Jackson). Kupp would join the Ravens offense as the third or fourth receiving option — behind Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman — which is ideal at Kupp’s age. Lamar Jackson would greatly benefit from having a sure-handed Kupp in the middle of the field. Kupp’s salary could make it hard for Baltimore to acquire him, but I love the on-field fit.
