Desean Jackson and Michael Vick could go from teammates to rivals after Pete Thamel reports that the former Eagles wide receiver is finalizing a deal to become a head coach at Delaware State University.
Jeff Lightsy Jr first reported the news.
Jackson officially retired as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles last December.
A three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver with Philadelphia, Jackson was honored as the Honorary Captain of the Eagles showdown against the 49ers at Lincoln Financial Field.
Jackson is sixth in Eagles history with 379 catches and third with 6,512 receiving yards.
The Hornets suffered a 38-19 loss to Norfolk State in the MEAC competition last season, and the hire would ensure that Vick and Jackson face off once a season.
