REPORT: Jalen Hurts torches haters after shining in win over Steelers: ‘That’s what y’all wanted to see?’.TS.THANHDUNG

The Philadelphia Eagles heard all the noise this week. After A.J. Brown said last week that the Eagles passing game would have to improve, the team concentrated on showing they could pass the football.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts

When their running game was not working as well as it usually does because Saquon Barkley was banged up. quarterback Jalen Hurts was able to keep them afloat.

In the 27-13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Hurts was nearly perfect in the air. Hurts finished 25 of 32 for 290 yards and a touchdown. He added 15 rushes for 45 yards and another touchdown on the ground.

To kick off his postgame media availability, Hurts hit the doubters with a little bit of spice.

“So that’s what y’all wanted to see, huh,” Hurts said.

The Eagles ran the ball well but averaged 3.1 yards per carry and even with short yardage spots removed, their yards per carry was only slightly over four yards per carry. All in all, the Steelers slowed down their running game and instead made them win through the air more, and the Hurts and the Eagles passing offense responded by being able to do that with ease.

As the Eagles look to clinch the NFC East next week and cement their status in the NFC, they are firmly in the tier of Super Bowl contenders as winners of ten straight. If the passing offense can keep this up, they could be the favorite.
