REPORT: Ravens predicted to add former $81 million 5-time All-Pro receiver for Lamar Jackson.THANHDUNG

The Baltimore Ravens must upgrade the wide receiver room this offseason, as the team lacked consistent production at the position in 2024 outside of Zay Flowers.

General manager Eric DeCosta could look to address the need in April’s draft, but Fox Sports’ Henry McKenna predicts the Ravens will go the free agency route and sign Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

“Hopkins is fading, but he’s the type of receiver who could help the Ravens, who have as good a shot as anyone at making the Super Bowl next season. Hopkins, 32, has made plenty of money. He’s ring chasing. Baltimore should have the right amount of snaps for a receiver like Hopkins, who would play behind Zay Flowers, Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely and probably Rashod Bateman. And I suspect that would be just fine for Hopkins,” McKenna wrote.

Hopkins was traded to the Chiefs from the Tennessee Titans on Oct. 24, but the veteran receiver didn’t make much of an impact for Kansas City, hauling in 41 receptions for 437 yards and four touchdowns in 10 regular season games with the team.

The Chiefs also struggled to get Hopkins involved in the postseason, as the three-time first-team All-Pro selection had just three catches during Kansas City’s run to Super Bowl LIX.

Though Hopkins is no longer an elite receiver and had an underwhelming 2024 campaign, the 32-year-old may have a few productive seasons left in him, as he is just two years removed from a 1,000-yard season with the Titans in 2023.

The former first-round pick would be a nice security blanket for quarterback Lamar Jackson and a much-needed veteran presence in Baltimore’s wide receiver group. Hopkins would also give the Ravens’ offense a savvy route runner and form a versatile duo with Flowers.

The former Clemson standout shouldn’t be too expensive to sign in free agency. Spotrac projects Hopkins will land a one-year deal worth $15 million, while Pro Football Focus believes he’ll receive a $20 million contract over two seasons with an average annual salary of $10 million.

Baltimore is estimated to have $12.2 million in cap space, per Over the Cap, but could make a few roster moves to save some money before the start of free agency.

DeAndre Hopkins has lost a step and will likely never return to his All-Pro form. However, the future Hall of Famer is still a capable player who would be a fantastic addition to Todd Monken’s offense.
