It’s the end of an era, folks. The Philadelphia Phillies have ruined the fun for everybody by introducing a brand new scorebug.
Coming off a disappointing playoff elimination at the hands of the New York Mets in the NLDS, the Philadelphia Phillies are gearing up for what they hope will be another deep October run. They kicked off spring training play on the weekend, losing to the Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles ahead of Tuesday’s exhibition tilt with the Tampa Bay Rays.
But Sunday’s 7-3 loss to the Orioles was not the main story in Phillies land. Rather, it was the debut of the team’s new scorebug on NBC Sports Philadelphia.
During the game against the Orioles, social media detectives pointed out something terrible about the new Phillies’ scorebug: It officially means that the popular “P00P” graphic, for when the Phillies play the Pittsburgh Pirates, is now done for.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. We’re gonna miss you, “P00P.”
The Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies will meet for a three-game set in the City of Brotherly Love from May 16-18. They’ll wrap up their season series for another three-game set in Steel City from June 6-8.
Philadelphia Phillies Open Regular Season vs. Washington Nationals
The Phillies will kick off their 2025 regular season with a three-game road series against the NL East rival Washington Nationals, Bryce Harper’s former team. The series begins on Mar. 27 and will run during the 29-30 weekend.
Harper’s squad will then return to Philly to begin a six-game homestand that kicks off against the Colorado Rockies on Mar. 31. After a three-game set there, the Phillies will welcome Shohei Ohtani and the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
