Here is where Ronald Acuna Jr.’s June would rank among his best months – SSS

It has been a dreadful season for the Atlanta Braves in 2025 but there have been some glimmers of hope. Ronald Acuña Jr. is one of them as he’s been one of the best hitters in baseball since returning from the injured list.

It’s like he never missed a beat. His presence in the lineup was much needed and he’s proven why.

Acuña was named NL Player of the Week for his insane performance against the Brewers and Rockies last week.

He batted an absurd .619 with three home runs, six RBI, and a gaudy 1.788 OPS. His .478 on-base percentage is the highest in the National League and is only behind New York slugger Aaron Judge in OPS at 1.179 through 21 games.

Braves superstar Ronald Acuña Jr. is having one of the best months of his career

He’s putting up MVP-caliber numbers already. You wouldn’t believe that he’s just returned from a major knee surgery. Now, his stolen base numbers aren’t going to be amazing, but that’s by design. He doesn’t need to push it.

Acuña is having one of the best months of his career. Since his debut in 2018, Atlanta’s superstar has always performed rather well in June. However, 2025 has included some of the best numbers of his career.

So far, Acuña has a 1.198 and an eye-popping 229 wRC+ through 14 games this month. This even beats his previous best OPS in June during his rookie season in 2018 where he had a 1.178 OPS and 207 wRC+. His current June wRC+ of 229 is the second-highest of any month in his career.

The highest of his career is a 240 wRC+ and that also coincides with a 1.289 OPS, which is the best monthly OPS of his career. Those incredible marks came in March/April of 2018 during his Rookie of the Year campaign when he was basically impossible to get out. That was a fun time.

This shows just how dominant of a player Acuña is when he is healthy. Braves insider Mark Bowman recently shared that if Acuña continues at this pace, he will hit 39 home runs. That is insane to think about, considering he missed almost two months of the season. And just for fun, if he had started the season in March and hit this well, he’d be on pace to hit 54 home runs.

There’s a reason Acuña has the sixth most votes among National League outfielders in All-Star voting. He is making a strong case to start for the NL All-Stars at Truist Park this July even after missing so much time.
