The Miami Dolphins’ last injury update before their showdown with the New York Jets featured the term “questionable” more often than supporters would prefer. Nevertheless, one athlete who has been on the injury list for several weeks is finally ready to play this Sunday.
Starting cornerback Kendall Fuller has been cleared from concussion protocol, as shown by his full participation in practice and lack of a game status label for Sunday. Fuller has missed the previous three games after sustaining his second concussion of the season during Miami’s 23-15 victory over the Los Angeles Rams last month.
He was absent for Miami’s wins against New England and Las Vegas, as well as last Thursday’s defeat to Green Bay. His comeback is timely, as the team is currently experiencing depth issues at the position, with Cam Smith on injured reserve and nickel corner Kader Kohou dealing with a back problem that makes his status uncertain for Sunday.
Speaking of uncertainties, the Dolphins have seven players marked as questionable for Sunday, including outside linebackers Bradley Chubb and Cameron Goode, who have resumed practice this week as they aim to come back from the PUP list.
Tackle Terron Armstead is also questionable, yet he has managed to play this season despite limited practice, so there is good reason to believe he’ll participate on Sunday. On the flip side, the New York Jets will likely miss key cornerback Sauce Gardner and running back Breece Hall, a significant setback on both offense and defense.
Both players are listed as doubtful for the matchup, with linebacker C.J. Mosley already ruled out. The Dolphins and Jets will face off on Sunday at 1:00 pm ET at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
