Stephen Curry Joins Forces With Giannis Antetokounmpo in $35M Partnership After Major NCAA Announcement…TS.DHUNG.

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is stacking his resume. The four-time NBA Champion is amidst a stellar campaign, eyeing his fifth championship. However, it seems that Curry doesn’t find it challenging enough at 36 years of age, as the Dubs star has started to diversify his portfolio even further. If the news of his acquiring a special role at his alma mater Davidson College wasn’t enough, Curry has outdone himself once again.

Stephen Curry is now an investor in the new women’s basketball league that’s changing the women’s basketball landscape. The Warriors guard is Unrivaled. This comes after the Unrivaled Women’s 3×3 Basketball League announced that Curry is now an investor in the league. “I am incredibly proud to join the Unrivaled family as the league continues to set a new standard for how women’s professional sports should operate — empowering athletes and ensuring they have a real stake in their own success.” Curry stated after the announcement.

The Sharpshooter aims to help women’s basketball grow and succeed and will ensure these hardworking athletes get the required training. To make it happen, the 36-year-old is included in the ‘Series A’ investment round that has seen a massive $28 million in funding adding to the $7 million raised during the seed round. This totals a massive $35 million raised for the 3×3 basketball league. The league is setting new standards in the women’s game by providing state-of-the-art facilities to its players. Stephen Curry is extremely excited to join hands with the league for the same reason.

However, Steph Curry isn’t the first hooper to join the revolution. He’s now alongside his rival on the court and good friend, Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek superstar is also an investor in the league with other big names from the all-around country such as Alex Morgan, Michael Phelps, Dawn Staley, and a few more.

While this is wonderful news, what makes it even more impressive is the fact that this announcement comes just a day after Curry made huge waves by heading back to Davidson College where the Warriors star first rose to stardom— this time in a special capacity.

Stephen Curry makes history accepting the assistant GM role at Davidson College

Curry is set to lead two basketball teams simultaneously. As we know, he’s the main man for his NBA team, the Golden State Warriors. But, now the two-time league MVP is all set to take all his decades of learnings and experiences from the hardwood and help his alma mater. Stephen Curry is taking on a brand new challenge at Davidson College. He is joining the Davidson Wildcats as an assistant general manager and will help both the men’s and women’s basketball programs.

This comes after his former college asked the 36-year-old NBA superstar to help revive the college’s mid-major program. By giving his nod to the role, the Warriors guard also etched his name in the history books as he became the only active player in the country’s major sports leagues to assume a NCAA level role. Curry’s arrival will help the Davidson Wildcats to keep up with the other basketball powerhouses from the Atlantic 10 conference.

The introduction of NIL deals has played a major role in Davidson’s recent struggles and hence Curry’s involvement will massively boost the program’s progress. Well, his involvement also extends beyond the court as Curry is joined by his wife, Ayesha, and another Davidson alumni Matt Berman. Together they will create an eight-figure fun to support the program. This initiative reflects his incredible ties with his alma mater. Moreover, it will interesting to see how much time Curry spends in his new role as he continues his quest for a fifth NBA championship with the Warriors.
