While Kansas City’s offensive line has been an issue for much of the season, Patrick Mahomes had made a habit of escaping the pocket and making plays — either through the air or with his own feet.
On Monday, however, the Eagles continued to get to Mahomes and the Chiefs quarterback looked uncharacteristically frazzled.
It all came to a fore in Kansas City’s fourth drive of the second quarter as Mahomes was sacked on back-to-back plays, prompting former NFL quarterback turned ESPN commentator Dan Orlovsky to declare he had “never seen Patrick as unsettled” since the Super Bowl loss to Tampa Bay.

Mahomes then proceeded to throw a pick-six in the face of more pressure from the Philadelphia front, with Chris Fowler describing it in commentary as a “nightmare” for the Chiefs.
Mahomes then threw another pick to gift Philadelphia prime field position and Jalen Hurts found A.J. Brown for another touchdown to put the Eagles ahead 24-0.
“This is an absolute beatdown,” Orlovksy said.
