This Photo Of A Dejected Travis Kelce Sums Everything Up…ts.dhung.

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are in a world of trouble right now in Super Bowl 59.

To say the Philadelphia Eagles have stifled the Kansas City offense so far would be an understatement. The Chiefs have 14 total yards on 16 plays; Philadelphia has sacked Patrick Mahomes three times and rookie Cooper DeJean scored on a pick-6. So far, we’ve seen a repeat of Super Bowl LV when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ pass rush engulfed the Chiefs en route to a 31-9 win.

Kelce has been targeted only twice in this half, with no receptions. After the Chiefs’ latest empty drive, the FOX cameras captured a dejected Kelce on the sideline.

At the moment, the Chiefs are facing their largest deficit they’ve ever had under Patrick Mahomes, who threw his first playoff pick-6 in the second quarter.

Coming into the game, most analysts conceded that Philadelphia had the better overall roster, but believed that the championship pedigree of Mahomes, Kelce, Chris Jones, Andy Reid, Steve Spagnuolo and others would be enough to keep Kansas City in the game.

To this point, it has not been. The Eagles are dominating in every phase, and they haven’t even gotten their trademark running game going yet, with Saquon Barkley, Jalen Hurts and Kenneth Gainwell combining for only 58 yards on 21 carries, though Hurts did score a 1-yard “Tush Push” touchdown.

The Chiefs are about to get the ball back with a little less than two minutes to go before halftime, and they will receive the second half kickoff. There’s time to get back in this game.

They’re going to need to hurry up and find something quickly though. Otherwise we’re looking at one of the bigger Super Bowl blowouts in years.
