There was significant speculation throughout 2024 about a potential Tyreek Hill trade after the former Kansas City Chiefs wideout underwent offseason surgery and has seemingly been unhappy with the Miami Dolphins.

He’s since walked those comments back, suggesting he’s comfortable staying with his current team, though that hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from spreading. Since leaving the Chiefs via trade, Hill has established himself as a top-five receiver when healthy, yet he’s failed to achieve the same team success that helped make him famous.

Given Kansas City’s significant issues at the position over the last two years, a reunion could make sense for both sides. In another cryptic social media post, Hill seemingly fueled the rumors about a theoretical trade from Miami.

Tyreek Hill Fuels Trade Speculation With Another Social Media Post

In what was almost certainly a tease, Hill shared a joking video reacting to the idea of being traded. He used a voice-over and gave an animated reaction, though there likely isn’t anything significant to be gained from the post.

Hill is known as a troll on social media, often stoking the flames of rumors for no reason other than garnering reactions. His outsized personality speaks for itself, yet it’s still obvious that he’d be a welcome addition to the Chiefs should any transaction actually happen.

During Hill’s six seasons with the organization, he became a dynamic weapon for Kansas City and someone who Patrick Mahomes frequently relied on to create a big play. A five-time All-Pro and eight-time Pro Bowler, Hill is one of the most unique players in the NFL. His best days are probably behind him, yet it’s obvious that he’d still be the offense’s best receiver should he return.

In the meantime, he’s stuck toiling with an underwhelming quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa, having learned that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side despite the outsized salary he’s earned. Hill hasn’t been around for the last several years of Super Bowl contention, but a reunion would benefit both parties as he enters the twilight of his career.
