The Buffalo Bills and the red hot Detroit Lions will battle it out this Sunday at 4:25PM ET live from Detroit. Two high-powered offenses facing off against each other and they both are fighting for the No. 1 seed in their respective conferences. While the Lions are still in pace to clinch the No. 1 seed in the NFC, the Bills’ chances at taking the No. 1 seed take a little bit of a hit with their 44-42 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
Despite coming off a humbling loss this past weekend, the Bills now must focus on this tough matchup against a Lions team that has completely turned around their culture for the better. Starting with Dan Campbell, the Lions went from a complete laughstock to playing as a Super Bowl favorite.
The Lions haven’t lost since Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and haven’t scored less than 20 points since Week 3. In their 11-game winning streak, the Lions’ offense has scored 40+ points twice and 50+ points twice. Their offense that is led by offensive coordinator (and future head coach) Ben Johnson has been a powerhouse of a unit that almost no team can stop.
As much as the Lions’ offense has been phenomenal, the same thing can be said for the Bills offense who have the more electrifying quarterback in Josh Allen. The leading MVP candidate has been on a tear in his last two games, breaking records and rewriting history. Buffalo’s offense hasn’t scored under 30 points since Week 6, making them a tough unit to stop themselves as well.
Week 15 matchup between Bills and Lions could be a Super Bowl preview
The NFL world could very well be watching a Super Bowl preview between the Bills and Lions this Sunday. No one should be surprised if we see the scoreboard light up on every single drive. The Lions have an offense that is led with a solid rushing attack with David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. Not to mention, Amon-Ra St. Brown is a fantastic route runner who can burn a defense at any moment.
For Buffalo, they have the future MVP in Josh Allen who can throw and run at any moment. A rushing attack with James Cook who can pass catches out of the backfield, and reliable weapons on Khalil Shakir, Amari Cooper and even a little bit of Mack Hollins. In addition, both teams come into this game with fantastic offensive lines.
This is by far the game that all fans, not just Bills and Lions fans, will want to watch. We will truly be able to see what both of these teams are made of and see who has a legit shot at making a run at the Super Bowl this season.
