UPDATE: Josh Allen receives NFL MVP clue as Buffalo Bills make feelings clear.THANHDUNG

Despite being the lead candidate for 2024 NFL MVP, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was snubbed from the First Team AP All-Pro in favor of Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Allen was the market leader following a dominant regular season with the Bills, which saw them go 13-4, become the first team to beat the Kansas City Chiefs, and settle for the No. 2 seed in the AFC. Jackson has also been sensational for the Ravens, and boosted his numbers from last season, which saw him crowned NFL MVP for the second time.

On Friday, the Associated Press 2024 NFL All-Pro Team was released, but no Bills players were voted into the First-Team. The Bills were clearly unimpressed, and the official team account posted a short clip of Allen looking frustrated during a press conference, and simply saying “okay” in reaction.

The Buffalo Bills were unhappy that no players received First Team All-Pro status.

The video was also captioned: “Zero Buffalo Bills have been voted as First Team AP All-Pro…” While it’s a harsh blow for Allen after a brilliant season, it may lead to more serious repercussions as those who vote for the All-Pro team also decide the MVP award.

Due to Jackson being picked ahead of Allen in the First Team All-Pro, it increases his chances of being selected ahead of the Bills quarterback in the MVP awards. Jackson received 30 first-place votes to Allen’s 18, while the final two votes went to Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.

The odds market has also changed following the release of the First Team All-Pro selections, with Jackson now the leader ahead of Allen for the first time. After winning his second MVP award in 2023, Jackson has achieved career highs in completions (316), passing yards (4,172), passing touchdowns (41), and passer rating (119.6).

Jackson has also rushed for 915 yards, which is his highest total since 2020. The Ravens finished the regular season with a 12-5 record, clinching the No. 3 seed after topping the AFC North division.

Allen’s numbers were also incredible, with his 12 rushing touchdowns standing out. The Bills quarterback also threw for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns, and just six interceptions. His 77.2 QBR was second in the NFL.

There’s not anything that Allen can do, and his focus will remain on leading the Bills to the Super Bowl. The Bills host the Denver Broncos on Sunday, while the Ravens host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday night. Should both hosts win on Wild Card Weekend, they’ll meet in the divisional round of the playoffs next weekend.
