The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback situation should be decided this week if the team intends to keep one of the two previous players from the 2024 season. All signs seem to point to that reality, but if the Steelers go with Justin Fields, Russell Wilson should have options.
The team that is lurking for Wilson is the New York Giants. Consistently, the Giants have checked in on Wilson and what he could bring to the table. They want a veteran who has won before, so they are looking into Aaron Rodgers and Wilson.

According to Connor Hughes of SNY, it sure sounds like Wilson could end up heading to the Giants if the Steelers decide to move on.
“Russell Wilson (Steelers) is also someone whom the Giants have discussed. One league source believed him to be the player the Giants ultimately land,” Hughes wrote.
Ultimately, if the Steelers end up signing Fields, Wilson will hit the market and have suitors. The Giants are not even the only team that would want Wilson if he did go to free agency.
The Steelers will make their decision likely before the legal tampering period of March 10, which will inform how they want to attack the entire free agency process from there on out.
