Baltimore Ravens wideout Rashod Bateman sustained a knee injury during Sunday’s matchup against the Eagles. The specifics of how Bateman was injured remain unclear, but he was seen hobbling off the field in the third quarter and was subsequently declared out for the rest of the game.
Post-game, Head Coach John Harbaugh mentioned that Bateman’s knee soreness prevented him from rejoining the game but offered no further details. Bateman, enjoying a standout season with 35 receptions for 574 yards and five touchdowns, hadn’t been targeted before leaving the field as the Ravens’ offense struggled against the Eagles’ formidable defense.
Even after Bateman’s departure, fellow receiver Diontae Johnson remained sidelined. Harbaugh refrained from commenting further on Johnson’s situation, stating, “I will be, [but I] just don’t have enough information right now to talk about that.”
Since being acquired from the Panthers at the trade deadline, Johnson has managed only one catch for six yards over five appearances with the Ravens. “We want [Johnson] out there,” Lamar Jackson expressed. “He’s a top-notch receiver.
We didn’t acquire him from the Panthers for nothing.”
