If anyone thought that there was bad blood between Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen, the former Buffalo Bills receiver just put an end to that.
Allen has been having a career year, with the Bills already securing a spot in the playoffs. And based on his performance each and every week, many consider him to be a front-runner in the MVP race.
Diggs completely agrees.
The Houston Texans star has been sidelined since Week 8 after suffering a torn ACL. So, he’s had some free time while rehabbing.
“I’ve been watching,” Diggs admitted about Allen’s season during an appearance on Good Morning Football.
“It’s impressive. Somebody had said something to me on Twitter, and I was like, he definitely should win,” Diggs said. “He’s been balling.”
“It’s no secret that Josh Allen is amazing,” he added. “He’s making those plays. It’s not new to me at all.”
There was a lot of controversy surrounding Diggs towards the end of his tenure with the Bills before he was traded in April. There were many reports that his relationship with Allen was declining. Specifically, he was traded less than 24 hours after the receiver replied to a tweet explaining that Allen didn’t need a game-changing receiver to be great by saying “You sure?”
But now, it’s clear that there is nothing but love between the two.
“He’s finally getting that credit that he deserves. He’s playing at a very high level. I feel like he deserves it.”
There is no denying that Diggs and Allen were an incredible duo. Throughout his four seasons with the Bills, Diggs finished with 445 receptions for 5,372 receiving yards and 37 touchdowns. He was also named to the Pro Bowl all four years.
However, Allen has proved that he can succeed with anyone on his team, and it’s truly showing this season.
