Despite already missing their star wide receiver Zay Flowers, the Baltimore Ravens faced another setback on offense late in the AFC Divisional clash against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium.
Just before the two-minute warning, Ravens’ wideout Rashod Bateman suffered an injury after making a short reception and needed assistance from the medical staff to leave the field. Fortunately for the team, he managed to return during the same drive.
Isaiah Likely then caught a 22-yard touchdown pass, narrowing the score to 27-25, but Mark Andrews failed to secure the two-point conversion to level the game. Bateman concluded the match with four receptions, accumulating 66 yards and a touchdown, which he scored on a 19-yard catch during the opening drive.
Ahead of the game, Bateman expressed his readiness to step up in Flowers’ absence. “The circumstances we face don’t alter my responsibilities or my role,” Bateman shared with reporters on Thursday. “My duty is to make plays, irrespective of who’s on the field.
There might be changes in my positioning or other aspects, but ultimately, we have a football game to play, and I have to perform.”
