Roger Federer has ruled the tennis world with style and elegance. He is known for his skill and sportsmanship on the court. However, he’s not a perfectionist in just about everything. Elmo is the king of the alphabet world, and we are all part of it. The beloved Sesame Street character is now teaming up with Federer in a fun new ad.

The ad, created for On, will air on Super Bowl Sunday. In the clip, Elmo playfully questions Federer about the branding on his On shoes. He respectfully calls him “Mr. Roger Federer” but seems unsure about his answer. Elmo is seen teasing the Swiss Maestro on the initials of the ON brand, referring to them as ‘QC’ instead of ‘ON’.

Federer is not new when it comes to being at the center of attention regarding brands. He was a long-term ambassador of Nike before parting ways with the brand in 2018. Then, he committed to Uniqlo on a long-term deal and launched the ON brand to create specialized shoes.

Federer recently visited Elmo’s home in New York City. He received a warm standing ovation at the 2024 US Open. Yesterday (February 7th), he revealed the ad with Elmo on The Today Show.

Tennis legend Roger Federer was seen with soccer star Thierry Henry, former Manchester United and Real Madrid player David Beckham, and Olympic judo champion Teddy Riner. They were at a private birthday party for a close friend. Federer was there with his wife, Mirka.

Since his last big appearance at the Laver Cup in September 2024, Federer has mostly stayed away from the tennis world. Recently, he made news by auctioning the racket he used in the 2004 Wimbledon final. In that match, he beat Andy Roddick in four sets to win his third Grand Slam title.

Federer and Henry have shared a strong bond for many years. Their friendship was seen again when Henry gave Federer’s sons two Arsenal shirts.

The shirts were later shown in the documentary Federer: Twelve Final Days. This film was released on Amazon Prime in June, as it covered the last few days of the Swiss Maestro’s professional tennis career.
