Vikings Could Trade Three Players In 2025..ANHTRUC.

When it comes to making moves, the Minnesota Vikings’ general manager, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, definitely isn’t shy about wheeling and dealing. Since he joined the team in 2022, he’s executed 13 trades involving players, not including all those dynamic draft trades.

With the Vikings sitting on just four picks for the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, we shouldn’t be surprised if Adofo-Mensah pulls the trigger on a few trades to stockpile more selections. So, who might the Vikings offer up as trade bait to boost their draft capital?

Let’s break down a few possibilities.

Andrew Van Ginkel – OLB

Trading Andrew Van Ginkel might raise a few eyebrows, especially after his standout season in 2024 that earned him a Pro Bowl nod. However, looking beyond the accolades, there’s a strategic angle here.

Van Ginkel inked a two-year deal with the Vikings last offseason and is set to earn $11 million in cash for 2025. Turning 30 in July and coming off a career-best performance, he’s likely angling for an extension.

The Vikings could capitalize on his current value, trading him this offseason for draft picks and slotting in Dallas Turner—their first-round pick from last year’s draft—as the new starter. It’s a move that could balance the books while keeping the defensive line dynamic.

Josh Oliver – TE

Minnesota’s decision to sign Josh Oliver to a three-year, $21 million contract back in 2022 was puzzling and remains so today. Sure, Oliver has been a top-notch blocking tight end, but the Vikings were only 26th in rushing yards per attempt and 24th in sacks allowed last season.

Oliver’s skill set might shine brighter with teams like the Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, or Buffalo Bills, who thrive on the ground. If Adofo-Mensah can pitch Oliver to one of these teams and secure a deal, any reasonable return would be icing on the cake.

Garrett Bradbury – C

Since being drafted 18th overall in 2019, Garrett Bradbury has anchored the Vikings’ center position. However, his tenure hasn’t been without its challenges.

Despite flashes of promise in handling elite defensive linemen, too often, Bradbury finds himself overwhelmed at the line, ending up closer to his quarterback than he should be. The Vikings might not net a substantial return in a trade involving their starting center, but at this point, they may be open to offers just to part ways and make room for new blood.

With the draft approaching, keep your eyes peeled for Adofo-Mensah’s next move. If history is any guide, the Vikings’ GM won’t hesitate to shake things up if it means bolstering Minnesota’s future.
