Before the Denver Broncos faced the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs, cornerback Pat Surtain was asked about former teammate Von Miller.
Surtain gave praise to Miller before quickly noting that the current Broncos squad aimed to upset the Bills on Sunday.
“I know Von holds a special place in his heart for Broncos Country,” Surtain said. “Because he won his Super Bowls here, all his accolades come from Broncos Country. So, it’s going to be a huge game for him, I believe.
“But, I’ll tell him, I’ll tell him this now like — it’s our time to shine now. He had his time, earlier back in his days, but it’s our time now. But it’s going to be good catching up with him, seeing him, too.”
Buffalo ended up beating Denver 31-7 on Sunday and Miller quickly trolled Surtain with a Michael Jordan meme from “The Last Dance” documentary. Click the below post to play the video:
“’Y’all time coming. It’s not now tho’” 🤷🏾♂️ @patsurtainll,” Miller captioned his post in Instagram.
Miller spoke with Surtain and several other former teammates on the field after the game. Miller’s social media post teased his former teammate, but he’s made it clear in the past that he’s a big fan of Surtain. He got the last laugh on Sunday.
