There’s a growing contingent of NFL players — never mind fans — who have grown tired of the Kansas City Chiefs playing in the Super Bowl every year.

You can count San Francisco 49ers superstar Deebo Samuel in the Philadelphia Eagles corner for Sunday’s big game.

Samuel was seen rocking a kelly green A.J. Brown jersey on radio row in New Orleans this week, leaving no secrets about his personal rooting interest for Super Bowl LIX.

This comes as no surprise, as the 49ers lost to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in overtime in the Super Bowl just last year. Samuel is also friends with Brown off the field, and both players are represented by agents Tory Dandy and Jimmy Sexton.

Deebo’s choice in wardrobe created quite a stir on social media. Fans trolled the angle of the photo (it was from the side), joking that Samuel had put on weight since San Francisco’s season ended. Some Eagles fans envisioned Deebo in the slot next season, playing alongside star Eagles receivers Brown and DeVonta Smith.

It’s definitely rare to see a player currently under contract wearing another NFL team’s jersey, but Super Bowl week is about as unpredictable as it gets.
