‘You’re stuck with me for the next 10 years’ – Tom Brady deflects his involvement with ‘Raiders head coach Ben Johnson’-kid

Tom Brady is playing it cool with Ben Johnson.

Brady and his broadcast partner Kevin Burkhardt, were in the booth Saturday night for the divisional round game between the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders.

All eyes were on Brady and how he would talk about Lions offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson, who is a candidate to be the next head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.

A team in which Brady is a minority owner for.

A team’s coaching search that Brady is actively taking part in.

There are conflicts of interests in all directions.

However, when Burkhardt brought up Johnson to Brady, and how well the Lions’ offense has looked this year and his prospective job opportunities once the season comes to an end, Brady played it cool.

Brady played coy.

Or more accurately, Brady quite frankly just didn’t say anything.

He deflected.

Burkhardt asked Brady how he has evaluated Johnson.

“It’s just been a great learning experience,” Brady said.

“What you realize is that the league is full of great potential.

“What I believe is that the resumes, the accolades, are all earned by what people do on the field.

“You earn your opportunities.”

Burkhardt gave Brady the bait, but he didn’t bite.

Fans were waiting for Brady to shed some light on the Raiders coaching search.

“Tom Brady gon’ slip up and say “Raiders head coach Ben Johnson” during this game,” one fan posted on X.

‘Tom Brady had a golden opportunity to shed some real insight on Aaron Glenn, Ben Johnson & dropped the ball. Total nothing burger of an answer,’ another fan added.

‘Tom Brady saw that play and texted Mark Davis about handing Ben Johnson a blank check,’ one fan joked.

There has been speculation that Brady would leave the booth after his first year with FOX, even though he signed a 10-year, $375 million contract.

Burkhardt made it clear Brady isn’t going anywhere.

“You’re stuck with me for the next 10 years,” Burkardt said Saturday night.

It’s been a rough first year in the booth for the seven-time Super Bowl champion, but it seems that Brady is going to stick it out.
