April 6, 2025 | Bronx, NY — In one of the wildest pre-game press conferences of the season, Yankees manager Aaron Boone stunned reporters this afternoon with an ultimatum that has baseball fans buzzing across the league.
“If we lose tomorrow,” Boone said, adjusting his cap and glancing at the cameras, “I’m letting Aaron Judge coach the next game. Full control. Lineup, pitching changes, everything. And if that doesn’t shake things up, I’m personally giving every Pittsburgh Pirates player a cupcake. Red velvet.”
The room erupted with laughter, unsure if Boone was joking or slowly unraveling under pressure. But the skipper doubled down.
“I’m dead serious. Judge has been chirping in the dugout about my bullpen decisions for two weeks,” Boone added with a smirk. “Let’s see what he’s got. Maybe he can turn this ship around.”
